Born in Trinidad and Tobago and Migrated to the United States in 1976. In 1978 was accepted into Columbia College, Columbia University in New York City to study premed. Columbia University is one of the seven Ivy League Institutions considered the top Universities in the United States. In 1982 Robelto Osborne graduated from Columbia University with honours and was accepted into 20 medical schools. He chose to attend SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine to study medicine because it offered him the opportunity to study for two doctoral degrees simultaneously. In 1986 Robelto graduated from Stony Brook with his Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) and his Doctor of Philosophy degree (Phd) in Biochemistry. Earning the right to be now called Dr. Robelto A Osborne.

Following which he entered an Obstetrics and Gynecology training program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine to complete a four year program in Obstetrics and Gynecology medicine and surgery. In 1989 Dr. Osborne was chosen to be the Administrative Chief Resident for the OB/Gyn program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During his Surgical training Dr. Osborne enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Flight Surgeon and was commissioned as a Captain April 26 1986. He completed his military training at Sheppereds Air Force base in Texas.

Upon completion of his Medical/Surgical training in 1990 he was stationed at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida as a Flight Surgeon and staff Gynecologist. Soon after his arrival at Homestead Air Force Base there was the invasion of Kuwait and the beginning of the first Persian Gulf War and Dr. Osborne found himself being mobilized to the Middle East (Daharan) in November of 1990 as a flight surgeon and the second in command of a MASH unit. In 1991 Dr. Osborne returned states side to do specialized training as a Germ Warfare Officer in support of the war.

In 1997 Dr. Osborne received his MBA from the University of Miami.
Dr. Osborne was appointed a Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1992, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mt. Siani Hospital residency program in Miami Florida in 1993.

Dr. Osborne was the Chairman of the South Florida Perinatal Society from 1992 to 1994 which was responsible for perinatal services for the entire state of Florida. He was also Chairman of the South Florida Healthy Start Program.
